Davenport Contracting, Inc. has been building and renovating major homes in the Greenwich, Darien, New Canaan, Westport and Westchester County areas for over twenty-five years. The firm offers fixed bid and construction management services, depending on the client’s needs.

Partners Richard Koch and Brian MacDonald make it a priority to keep clients informed through every step of the decision-making, budgeting, selection and construction process. They maintain a team chemistry that includes not only their clients but also the architect, interior designer, project manager and crew. Davenport Contracting’s philosophy is to establish a close working relationship with clients, architects and all involved parties in order to provide clients with exceptional quality at an agreed upon price. They work with clients early in the planning and design phase to assist in developing project plans and setting realistic budgets for their construction project.

Davenport Contracting provides a pre- construction estimating service for both the architect and prospective client who have a desire to build a residential project but want to know budget costs prior to finalized working drawings and specifications. They will work with both the architect and client from the schematic drawing phase to final working plans making recommendations to achieve the client's wish list in light of cost concerns. Incorporating sustainable design elements is also an option.

Davenport also provides construction management to benefit clients. They maintain a full-time estimator on staff and the financial budget numbers are reviewed during the entire building process. In the case of an evolving design/build project, a budget for each phase will be created. The client pays Davenport a fixed fee based on time and materials. Design/build changes can be made during the building process. A review of a project with the architect and client can help decide if construction management is a viable option.

The D.C.I. Design & Millwork division designs and installs custom cabinetry and millwork for homeowners, architects, general contractors, and interior designers throughout Fairfield and Westchester Counties. Projects include libraries, kitchens, baths, wine cellars, and aquariums. Their goal is to create long lasting relationships with professionals in the building industry.

Davenport Property Management carries on the Davenport tradition of staying connected with their clients. It is through this division that they are able to help new and existing clients maintain the investment in their home.
