While the inside
and surrounding land of this Designer Show House highlight
the work of 30 interior designers and landscape architects, the
house itself is a work of art. This combination of stately Georgian
and regal Tuscan architecture greets you as you pass under the elegant
portico at the main entrance. Be prepared to be impressed, as “Merrywood”
promises to take the phrase “Designer Show House”
to a whole new level… |

Of course, “Summer
Days at Merrywood” emphasizes the importance of leisure
and relaxation. Explore the luxury of the spa and a gracious pool
as you wander around the three-acre estate. Admire the quality stonework
that complements the house: walls frame the property, while rings
of masonry line gardens and the whirlpool. |

and gardens. The swimming pool stretches out before the house, accented
by several pillars to the right. The two stone pillars marking the

organizer Franco Grimaldi promises that the enormous Grand Veranda
will be transformed into a “summer ballroom”.
Exterior draperies will grace the columns, creating a space that
capitalizes on warm breezes and sunshine or moonlight to create
the ultimate space for entertaining. |

its place, the former carriage house still stands to the right,
while a studio built at a later date is to the left. Visitors can
