| A
World of Color offers a unique in-home art service for
homeowners and designers. Based in Connecticut and servicing
all of Connecticut, New York City, Westchester and Suffolk
Counties, the company specializes in bringing fine art
to your home. Here, it can be viewed in its most effective
and dramatic setting. This in-home service eliminates
the need to wander from gallery-to-gallery, or to order
copy-art from catalogues and hope for the best when
it arrives by mail.
The
company founder is an artist himself, and is constantly
screening new artists and their work to be part of his
offering. His criteria include technical merit, aesthetic
appeal and long-term value. For the serious homeowner,
with a strong interest in achieving the right “Look”
for their home; for the casual client with more decorative
artistic interests, or the most serious collector only
looking to have original fine art that reflects contemporary
trends in the world of collectable art, A World of Color
can suggest the right acquisition strategy.
Richard
Friswell, whose writings on the subject of art and design
regularly appears in such publications as Modern Estate
Magazine, Fairfield County Home Magazine, Vanity Press,
area newspapers and a number of Web-based publications
such as Home Resource Guide.com, is a recognized authority
on 20th Century art.
As
an art consultant, he can offer a perspective on existing
fine art including: appraisal value (insurance, estate,
liquidation); secondary market value for client-owned
art (consignment, auction, resale); museum conservation
strategies for existing art; period-appropriate custom
framing; staging within the home or office location
for currently-owned and/or new works of art.
A
call to A World of Color will begin the process:
1.)
An in-depth conversation about your design goals and
your tastes and interests will help to get the ball
rolling.
2.)
From that preliminary discussion, a selection of work
is made from a broad inventory of artists and their
work which is available to A World of Color.
3.)
A home visit is scheduled to present the art and display
it in its intended location(s). Often, we discover that
the client has multiple areas of interest for art in
their home, but only after the first visit occurs! Work
is often left on approval and follow up visits to the
site become the norm.
4.)
Staging and installation of new and existing work can
follow with a few days or weeks.
Fees
for hanging purchased work is included in the cost of
the art.
Currently,
A World of Color offers fine art in three categories:
Contemporary art- original paintings and limited edition
prints by living, emerging artist; 20th Century Masters-
original signed etchings and lithographs by the major
artists of our time; Rare and one-of-a kind hand-colored
prints and drawings from the 17th-19th Century, including
botanicals, scenes from nature, architectural, portraits
and local interest pieces; all in period-appropriate,
archival framing. |
