This refined and elegant Louis XIV period clock is a marquetry
masterpiece which is finely inlaid with mother of pearl and
adorned with 24 kt gold and silver, which covers the brass
casting.
The clock
operates by a German Black Forest hand wound mechanical clock
movement. The Westminster chime tune rings every 15 minutes
and the bim-bam movement rings on the hour and half hour.
The original
clock was created by the artist, Lescure, in Paris. It's dimensions
are 79” H x 12.6” L x 31.5” W.
