| Christopher
Peacock began his career in London in 1982 as the lead
designer directing the premier Siematic Kitchen dealership
for the territory. In 1987 he was transferred to the
US by Siematic to aid in the design for the Siematic
showrooms expansion program.
After
a year in the US he left Siematic to join Smallbone
Cabinetry where he earned his place as one of the company’s
most accomplished design consultants and played a key
role in their US growth.
The
decision to start his own venture in 1992 started with
a single kitchen display within the showroom of local
interior designer, located in Greenwich, CT. The room
vignette drew the attention of architects, designers
and consumers. Christopher Peacock Cabinetry soon proved
its worth, establishing itself as the paradigm of beautiful,
custom, hand-crafted English classic cabinetry made
to order in the United States.
The
advantage of US production paid off and more showroom
locations followed. The original workshop in Connecticut
was relocated to West Virginia enabling Christopher
to make necessary expansions and increase manufacturing
capabilities. In addition to the Greenwich showroom
equally distinctive showrooms were opened at the Merchandise
Mart in Chicago and Boston, Mass. More recently a fabulous
West Coast showroom located on prestigious Robertson
Boulevard in West Hollywood has been launched.
The
company philosophy, propelling the business upward,
has always been to produce handcrafted cabinetry of
the highest quality, using the finest materials and
offering an unparalleled level of professional service
