From
New England to the West Coast, Crown Point Cabinetry
is known as one of the best in the business. Some of
their innovations in the industry has been their Advantage
Hinge System. It is the world’s only fully adjustable
barrel-style inset hinge. It has been designed, engineered
and patented by Crown Point Cabinetry. Their woodworking
is second to none. As well as working in beautiful hardwoods
like Appalachian Cherry and Sapele Mahogany, to name
but two, they also work in reclaimed woods. Species
such as Antique Wormy Chestnut, Antique Heart Pine and
Oak are all reclaimed from mills, barns and antique
structures from all around the country. Handcrafted
to take on a new life as one of a kind cabinetry.
Another
important aspect in their custom cabinetmaking process
is their use of oven baked finishes for a lifetime of
durability - there is no more beautiful or durable finish
available than an oven baked conversion varnish. This
low sheen finish will look beautiful 20 years down the
road, not just the day it is installed. Choose from
their extensive collection of hand wiped stains, and
when combined with their careful wood selection, creates
an absolutely beautiful result.
Milk
Paint and Classic Painted finishes - Looking for Milk
Paint? This incredibly labor intensive process consists
of multiple steps that include pre-painting the inside
edge of all stiles and rails and panels before assembly
of the doors. This prevents exposure of unpainted edges
when the wood contracts and expands. After the craftsmen
glue up the pre-painted pieces, the painters finish
the task of hand painting the remainder of the door.
This very special paint, combined with the painstaking
application process, provides an end result that has
to be seen to be believed. Then, their oven baked conversion
varnish protects all pieces.
