Designs by Deborah was established by Deborah Fields after twenty successful years in commercial real estate and corporate event planning. Always drawn to design, Ms. Fields says that design and visual presentation were essential elements of her former company, Epic Events. There she designed client events by studying their visual "brand" and applied to her style guide for everything ranging from invitations to decorative accents and production that an event might require; the same ideation process is used at Designs by Deborah.

According to Deborah, “Clients like our open-minded approach. Every client is different, and his or her personal style is what leads the work. My job is to listen and understand what my clients want, and then make it happen." Her motto is "Environments that reflect your personal style.”

Deborah's unique approach causes clients to become friends and she has an innate ability to translate this added perspective into enhanced interior design. She feels that a person’s home is a reflection of who they are. "I hold the mirror and help them design and decorate in a manner consistent with their self-image.” One of Deborah’s clients put it best, “There are many designers who can help you lay out a room and purchase furnishings, but very few who are talented enough to help you decorate your life. That’s Debbie!”
