Private Home Security for residential protection... Priority One Protection and Investigation was first licensed in Connecticut in April 1987 under the name Security Management Services (SMS). SMS provided contract security personnel and armed residential protection to a wide variety of clients throughout Fairfield County, Connecticut. In January 1994, SMS became licensed in New York State and began providing investigation services as well as contracted security personnel.
In 1996, SMS was sold and Priority One Protection & Investigation (POPI) was founded. POPI continued to provide the very best armed residential protection in Fairfield County to a new client base. They continue to consult and manage the security and protection concerns of their corporate, commercial and retail clients.

Richard
J. DeAngelis, Jr. is the owner of Priority
One Protection and Investigation. Prior to starting SMS in April
1987, Richard was employed in the security industry by such companies
as United States Surgical Corporation as Security Manager and Bloomingdale's
By Mail LTD as Security/Safety Manager. During this time, Richard
was responsible for every aspect of the companies' security program
including the budgetary concerns as well as the overall safety of
companies' co-workers. This is where Richard learned about providing
the very best that the security/protection industry has to offer
and do it in a cost effective manner.
