Since
the birth of her daughter, Zoya Bograd’s experience, as a
high end residential, corporate and hotel designer, has taken on
a whole new direction. 1998 was the year she founded “Bograd
Kids, Inc.” a multiline trade showroom located in the New
York Design Center and specializing in furnishings for Nurseries
and Children’s Rooms.
Traveling throughout
Europe and across the United States, Zoya Bograd has been seeking
the Finest Furniture, Fabrics, Linens and Accessories available
for her youngest clientele. Her enthusiasm is unquestionable “What
a response I have had so far! I haven’t had this much fun
shopping in my fourteen years as a professional interior designer
and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to share what I have discovered
with you” says Zoya Bograd.
In 2000, Bograd
Kids, Inc expanded to include manufacturing, and launched a brand
new line: “Zoya B. Collection... kids furniture redefined”
- the finest quality children’s furniture - designed by Zoya
Bograd, ASID. Her commitment to her clients is evident, "It
is in this custom line of furniture that I pride myself on the ability
to react to my customers’ dreams and bring them to reality”
says Zoya. Made the old fashioned way, everything in the ZoyaB.
Collection is offered with custom capabilities. Zoya Bograd’s
philosophy has always been based on appreciation for high quality
workmanship and attention to detail. Her mission is to offer honest
craftsmanship, inherent value and unmatched service. Zoya Bograd’s
goal is to be recognized by the discerning consumer as the finest
in children’s furniture making in the world. Bograd Kids furniture
has been enjoyed by many children all over the United States and
Canada. Zoya Bograds biggest reward has always been the customers’
calls; letters and e-mails letting her know how much their children
enjoyed their rooms newly decorated with Bograd Kids furniture.
ZoyaB. Collection
comes from a family tradition of fine furniture making. Zoya Bograd’s
father, Mark Bograd, was a master cabinetmaker in Kiev, Ukraine.
It was literally at her father’s knee during her childhood
that she absorbed and gained appreciation and understanding for
high quality workmanship and attention to detail.
Years later,
after graduating from Parsons School of Design, Zoya Bograd worked
for some of the best names in the industry like David A. Easton
and George Dandridge. She soon became a professional member of ASID
and established her own Interior Design firm. As a result she had
accumulated a broad range of experience and a diverse design vocabulary,
which permitted her to cross from classical to modern design with
equal versatility. It was during those years that she rediscovered
the concept of high quality workmanship and attention to detail.
In her spare
time, Zoya Bograd also enjoys competitive ballroom dancing in Standard
International Styles (Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Quick-Step, and the
Viennese Waltz).
